Sound made space.

A little less doing.
A little more being.

I’m creating a sensory wellbeing studio in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter — a space to step out of the noise, soften the pace and spend some time with yourself.

Some days, that might mean lying down and letting sound surround you. Other days, it might mean moving, making something, exploring who you are or simply enjoying a quiet moment with nothing to do.

Before I shape the timetable, I’d love to hear what you would make space for.

A frequency to feel · A place to rest

The name

SONŪ HAUS — the house of sound and self.

Sonū carries two meanings: sound and vibration in Corsican, and “beloved” — the golden one — in Hindi. Together, they hold what I hope this space becomes: a place you come back to your own frequency, through sound-led experiences.

Rest Return Relax Release Remember

Why make room for rest?

Rest can so easily become the thing we fit in after everything else.

964,000

workers in Great Britain experienced work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2024/25, according to the Health and Safety Executive.

3 nights

a week of good-quality sleep, on average — reported in a 2025 survey of 2,000 UK adults for the Mental Health Foundation.

These are different experiences, but they bring me back to a question: how can we make more room to pause in everyday life?

For me, Sonū Haus begins with that invitation.

I’m exploring a programme that brings together:

01

Sound

Crystal singing bowls, gong baths and immersive listening, with candlelit sessions and themes inspired by moon cycles, the seasons and self-discovery.

02

Rest

Short moments of downtime that can fit into the middle of your day.

03

Movement

Gentle practices and opportunities to move freely, without performance.

04

Creative play

Space to explore colour, materials, words and expression, without needing to be “good” at anything.

05

Connection

Thoughtful gatherings and experiences that help you reconnect with yourself and others.

You might come for one thing. You might discover something unexpected.

What could a rest moment look like?

Imagine having somewhere to go when you need a pause.

Between meetings After the school run On your lunch break Before heading home

A short, bookable window of time in a thoughtfully prepared space, where you can settle, close your eyes and step away from screens, conversation and demands.

You might rest quietly, drift off or simply enjoy being still. There would be no need to join a group activity, make conversation or achieve anything.

I’m exploring how these shorter visits could sit alongside our guided sessions — and your answers will help shape what they become.
